Jolie says Goodbye to St. John

Since September 2005, Angelina has been the face of this knitwear company. However, she will not be renewing her contract with the firm later this year. The Spring 2008 campaign will be the last year the pregnant Angelina Jolie would be featured. Four women, who are still unknown, would replace Jolie in the Fall 2008 ads.
St. John CEO Glenn McMahon tells Women’s Wear Daily, “It was a great run… Three years is a long time to maintain any campaign, and we felt it was time to do something new and different.”
Not renewing the contract with Angelina Jolie, who is ranked as top 3 in Forbes’ “World’s Most Powerful Celebrities”, can be a huge deal for St. John as the actress really is an influential person in terms of fashion. She has been one of the celebrities many women want to become, so ditching Jolie for 4 other celebs may hurt their sales. But that’s just my two cents.
